WISE Encrypt’s key for encoding and decoding can be managed by the user. As the key is not passed on to the cloud, the service provider cannot decipher encrypted data. The time has come for the user to own and manage the ‘key’.

3 Perform partial match search and string sort on encrypted data in the cloud

WISE Encrypt enables data sort and search after encryption.
It uses AES and other technology to encrypt data in the cloud. Data in standard formats can be searched and sorted after encryption. It also allows editing and other tasks on non-standard format data (such as MS Office files), without making the user aware of encryption. The solution encrypts data and electronic files stored in the cloud database, to reduce the risk of information leak in the event of a security breach.

WISE Encrypt Tokenization option is embedded into the tokenization engine in TrustBind, a cloud service security platform developed and sold by NTT TechnoCross Corporation (formerly NTT Software Co., Ltd.).

<Function>

The solution uses tokens which are totally unrelated to the source data that they replace before saving them on the cloud. Confidential information such credit card numbers and personal identification codes can be protected in this way, reducing the risk of information leak in the event of a security breach from the cloud.

• – Confidential information is tokenized automatically at the gateway, allowing the typical user to use the cloud service without any extra operation.
• – Flexibility. Data with character length restrictions and input formats, such as personal ID, telephone numbers and email addresses, are supported.

About NESTGate

NESTGate is a gateway product designed to prevent information leak, for secure use of personal data and other information in the public cloud and in businesses interfaces across industry boundaries.
It is designed to conceal information online, thus system rework cost is kept to a minimum, yet capable of protecting important information.
As the user is required to manage and hold the encryption key and other information necessary to decode and recover the concealed information, the risk of access to the source data is kept to a minimum, even if the information is leaked.
This product can be deployed to strengthen security in a broad range of systems and scenarios, for example, to guard against information leak in cloud based CRM solutions such as Salesforce, and to protect personal information related to My Number personal ID system in Japan.
